YOUR SESSION GUIDE

Locations, outfit inspiration,

+ how to make your photos feel like you.

Hi, I am

You don’t need perfect outfits, a Pinterest board, or a plan for every pose. I’ll help you choose a backdrop that fits your people and guide you through the session so your photos feel natural, connected, and like this season of your real life.

Beach

soft, playful, barefoot, sunset magic.
A mother kisses her young daughter outdoors in a lush green forest setting, both wearing white and pink outfits.

Greenery / Enchanted Forest

dreamy, textured, a little more storybook.
Newborn baby holding mother's finger, lying on white bedding, wearing striped onesie, close-up bonding moment.

Downtown / Urban

editorial, fun.

In-Home

cozy, personal, beautifully real life.

DRESS FOR MOVEMENT, NOT PERFECTION.

Think coordinating, not matching. Choose colors and textures that feel like you,

leave room to move, and don’t be afraid of a little personality.

  • Beach: cream, white, tan, soft blue, linen, cotton, bare feet; bathing suits welcome for playful/wet photos.
  • Greenery: cream, denim, rust, soft blue, warm neutrals, florals — avoid green-on-green.
  • Downtown: black, white, denim, richer colors, layers, a more styled look.
  • In-home: soft neutrals, comfy textures, simple everyday outfits.

The little things that help

Two toddlers share a sweet kiss on a wooden pier, boy in brown overalls and girl in white ruffled outfit.

For the kids:

Let them be kids!

Bring a small snack/water and

save “say cheese” pressure for someone else... we're just going on an adventure!

Couple sharing a romantic kiss on the beach at sunset while holding a white surfboard near the ocean.

Bring meaning:

A favorite blanket, book, flowers, surfboard, or sentimental item can make photos feel more like yours.

Couple embracing in a field with children running around them, blurred motion, large trees in background.

Trust the movement:

Snuggle, walk, play, dance, kiss—connection photographs better than standing perfectly still.

Planning tips & FAQ

What time should we schedule?

For beach sessions, golden hour (sunrise or sunset) is always my favorite—soft light, glowy skin, and room for everyone to relax. For greenery or in-home sessions, we can also use earlier morning or late-afternoon light. I’ll help choose the best time based on your location, the season, and your little ones’ schedule.

What if my kids are wild, shy, or not in the mood?

Perfect. Truly. Kids don’t need to sit still or smile at the camera the whole time for us to make beautiful photos. We’ll play, move, snuggle, explore, and follow their lead. The real connection in between is usually where the magic is anyway.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes, please! Your pup is family too. Just let me know ahead of time so we can choose a pet-friendly location and plan for a few photos with everyone together first.

What happens if weather changes?

Florida likes to keep us humble. If the weather is unsafe or just not going to photograph beautifully, I’ll reach out to make a call and find a new date. A little wind or cloud cover can be gorgeous—we only reschedule when we truly need to.
